Advocate

I spent the first fifty-three years of my life building a fortress of achievements, a corporate IT career, a thirty-six-year legacy fronting a rock band, a beautiful family, all to hide a single, terrifying truth. I am a transgender woman.

For decades, hiding that truth was a background program draining my energy. I finally stopped fighting myself, stepped out of the shadows, and reclaimed my power. But the moment I stopped fighting myself, I realized the fight was much larger. It wasn't just about me. It was about all of us.

Look at the national mandates rolling out. They want to ban gender-affirming care. They want to force women back into silent submission. They want to rip diversity, equity, and inclusion from our workplaces. This is the reality of state-sponsored fear. They want us to hide. They want us to quit. They want us to disappear. But we will not give them the satisfaction of our silence.

My advocacy is rooted in a simple truth: our struggles are connected. The fight for transgender survival is the fight for LGBTQ equality, for women's liberation, and for true diversity in every boardroom and classroom. We cannot wait for institutions to save us. We must build our own resilience.

Through shared defiance and grassroots action, we are building a new fortress. We build safety, we build community, and we build power. We do not change our lives to fit their politics; we change their politics to fit our lives.

If you are tired of the cruelty, if you are ready to stop asking for permission to exist, then stand with us. Demand equity in your workplace. Advocate for the marginalized.

The era of quiet endurance is over. It is time to live out loud.
